40 Years

40 years. 480 months. 14,600 days. 350,400 hours. The time passed since the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions marks a dark period in United States history which continues to haunt us as the repercussions of these decisions weigh upon the hearts of passionate pro-lifers across the country.
In these 14,600 days, over 55 million lives have been lost. In these 350,400 hours, over 1.06 billion families have been knowingly and unknowingly affected by abortion. How does one grasp the immense tragedy of these losses? How does one grieve for the deaths of 1/3 of a generation? How does one explain why so many continue to ignore the world’s greatest human injustice?
As we enter the year 2013, we know that there are so many opportunities for us to spread the pro-life message and to continue to fight the attitudes of our society as well as the dictates of legislation. We encourage you to continue to speak out passionately for the most vulnerable in our society. 40 years have been long enough, and we will not give up until our country commits to protecting the preborn.
What can you DO?
Check out these event and activities that we have suggested for the month of January. It is never too late to organize a simple or complex event– or even to get together a group to attend a local or national pro-life event!
How do you SHOW and SHARE the pro-life message?
SFLA has created graphics for you! We also have some tips for how to improve your pro-life activism through flyering and social media. Go to our January Event-in-a-Box graphics page, and see what we have for you this month!
Who is available to speak?
SFLA has compiled a list of speakers available for a wide variety of topics. This month, why not try bringing in a speaker on one of these topics:
