National Pro-Life ID Week is a week long competition for pro-life groups across the country to get as many people as possible to sign the “I Vote Pro-Life First” pledge, which asks Americans to pledge to consider a candidate’s stance on the life issue first before voting.
The National Pro-Life ID Week is a great way to find more pro-lifers for your campus group. Reserve a table on a local campus or in front of a friendly business. Be active and energetic in approaching people. You can also go door-to-doo in your community to talk to as many people as possible. Ask them, “Will you vote for pro-life candidates?” Keep your focus on finding pro-lifers and making sure they become pro-life voters. Now is not the time for debating abortion advocates. Every person who signs the pledge is a potential group member or supporter for your organization.
You will need several volunteers to help with the ID Week. This is the perfect opportunity to get some new members involved and reinvigorate old members. You can also coordinate with Christian and conservative groups in your community to find more volunteers.
Participating in National Pro-Life Identification Week is as easy as 1-2-3.
1. Register your group at www.ivoteprolifefirst.com/idweek
2. Download and print out copies of the “I Vote Pro-Life First” pledge form at www.ivoteprolifefirst.com/idweek
3. Get pro-life adults and students you know to sign the pledge.
Once the week is over simply turn in all pledge forms via email (mciarrocchi@studentsforlife.org) or mail (9255 Center Street, Suite 300 Manassas, VA 20110). Deadline to turn pledges in to be considered for prizes is September 25th.
The group with the most pledges turned in will win the following prizes:
1st Place – 10 Free Tickets to the SFLA National Conference, January 26th 2013 in DC or $500 cash
2nd Place – 5 Free Tickets to the SFLA National Conference, January 26th, 2013 in DC or $250 cash.
3rd Place – 2 Free Tickets to the SFLA National Conference, January 26th, 2013 in DC or $100 cash.
