The other day I wrote you from the steps of the Supreme Court as myself and the rest of our team and missionaries stood ready to react to what we hoped would be the Supreme Court’s decision on the constitutionality of Obamacare.
However, as you know by now, the decision was not announced on Monday.
This isn’t good news. And here’s why.
Because tomorrow, Thursday, is the last day the Supreme Court is in session, everyone now knows for certain that the healthcare decision will be announced.
Because the decision was not handed down on Monday, every pro-abortion group in the nation’s capitol has been given 72 hours notice to mobilize and prepare their media assault for Thursday morning.
And rest assured that they will be out there in droves. And since we know the liberal media already loves them, you can imagine what part of this story, regardless of the Supreme Court’s decision, is going to get play on the evening news.
But Students for Life has no intention of letting that happen. We will make sure that the pro-life voice is heard – particularly the young pro-life voice – tomorrow at the Supreme Court.
Because what they don’t know is that we have been mobilizing as well since the moment we heard that Thursday would be the “day.”
We will be on the steps of the court early Thursday morning organizing for our 7:30am prayer vigil and 9:00am youth rally, which will be followed by a press conference with national pro-life leaders right after the decision is announced at 10:00am.
Will you join us? If you live in the DC metro area, we would love to have you stand with us at the Supreme Court tomorrow morning.
However, if you can’t be there with us physically, would you consider donating $20 to Students for Life today for sign making supplies? https://secure.campaignsolutions.com/studentsforlife/donation1/?initiativekey=PEADQFLXTRFG
Buying fancy, pre-printed signs was not in our budget, so we are doing it the old fashioned way and making them by hand. (In fact, our whole team will be here late tonight making all of the signs.) However, there are still a lot of costs with making signs by hand, especially if we want to make sure we have enough to go around.
And we are going to need a lot of handmade signs to counter the big, flashy ones we know Planned Parenthood and other abortion advocates are going to have, so any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support and prayers during this historic week!
P.S. – We need to make sure we outnumber the pro-abortion advocates tomorrow at the Supreme Court! Help us make sure we have all the sign making resources we need by donating $20 today: https://secure.campaignsolutions.com/studentsforlife/donation1/?initiativekey=PEADQFLXTRFG.
P.P.S. – Tomorrow will be an historic day for our movement; it truly will be our generation’s Roe v. Wade moment. If you can’t be there, chip in $20 today, so we can make a sign in your place. We can even write your name and state on the back of each sign you sponsor to make sure your voice is there with us tomorrow! Email me back at email@example.com after you donate $20 for your sign, and I will make sure to write your name on the back of your sign! Thank you! ~ Kristan
