This weekend, Speaker of the House, John Boehner went on the record as saying that he would rather pass a Continuing Resolution to fund the government (CR) and not include the Pence Amendment, than face a government shutdown. Read more about his comments here.

“Speaker’s Boehner’s statements this weekend are unacceptable. Each day America waits to de-fund Planned Parenthood, thousands of lives are killed and abused with our tax dollars. Time and time again, Planned Parenthood has shown itself to be an organization that defies the law and covers up rape, racism, and sex trafficking of minors. Planned Parenthood should NOT receive our tax dollars for one more day. Speaker Boehner and other Republican leaders should do whatever they can to stop Planned Parenthood’s abuse of young girls and women across the nation. Not one more day should Planned Parenthood be funded with our tax dollars. Not one more day. They must be de-funded in the CR –nothing else is acceptable.”
