NY NARAL President Steps Down in Midst of Abortion Scandal

Date Posted February 16, 2011

It was reported today that Kelli Conlin, President of NARAL in New York stepped down last week amid an audit that showed massive misappropriation of funds. You can read more about this here.

Upon hearing about the abortion scandle in New York, Kristan Hawkins, Executive Director of Students for Life commented, ““The recent mess that NARAL of New York has found itself in proves once again that the abortion industry and their affiliates are deceiving young women. The recent audit which found massive misappropriation of funds shows just how corrupt pro-abortion groups are. They are not in it to help women, but rather for their own selfish profit.”

The audit found that Conlin,  over the last two years, had been making numerous purchases on NARAL credit cards. The charges include high-end clothing, a summer rental in the Hamptons, and up to $100,000 on a car service to drop her children off at their Manhattan school. The abortion business is not in it to help women, but for the profit the abortion business brings.
