Abortion: America’s Reality

Date Posted December 29, 2010

Last night, MTV aired a new segment on “16 and Pregnant” called, “No Easy Decision” opening a new discussion on teen abortion in America.

Upon watching the show, Kristan Hawkins, Executive Director of Students for Life commented,

“MTV’s new reality TV show ‘No Easy Decision’ shows a new low for reality shows and for America. It is disgusting that we now have a reality show that makes money off of abortion and the young women who are victims of this violent act. Students for Life sees this trauma everyday on campuses across the country and it is no light matter to publicize on TV. The forced disconnect between mother and child and the emotional pain Markai felt and still feels today is the reality for thousands of women across the country. These are the women who need our help and counsel not our exploitation.”

The show highlighted the twisted reality of the abortion industry and the reality women face after having an abortion.
