November 2nd proved to be an historic election for Life. Upon viewing the results of the election, Kristan Hawkins, Executive Director of Students for Life of America, remarked:
“The American people have overwhelmingly voted for Life and against the taxpayer-funded abortion agenda in Washington, D.C. As polls have consistently shown, Americans are pro-life and most importantly, the youth of America are pro-life. Yesterday, Voters sent a clear message to the Obama Administration to not only listen to the pro-life will of the people, but to stop the corruption and arrogance in our nation’s capital. Americans are sick of the special interests and back room deals, exemplified in Obamacare. We need to repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood in the next Congress, so we can begin to build a Culture of Life for the next generation Americans. I look forward to working with the incoming pro-life Congressmen and Congresswomen to create and promote a culture of Life in our country.”
