This year the Sharpening Your Focus training conference had numerous speakers who spoke on different aspects of the pro-life movement and also provided ideas for activities for college and univeristy campuses. Speakers covered topics such as breaking adoption stereotypes, history of the pro-life movement, pro-life opportunities outside of school, how to bring the pro-life message to campuses through music and concerts, how to recruit members and how to keep groups alive, as well as advice on constitutional rights on campus and overcoming the fear of clinic activism.

One of the speakers at the conference, Amanda Lord commented that, “”I am so grateful and honored to be asked to speak at Student for Life’s Sharpen Your Focus conference. It was truly a blessing to spread the message of adoption to the up & coming generation of pro-life leaders.”

All of the students who attended the conference left excited and inspired to take on the new school year and to share the pro-life message on their campus. Jimmy Noone from George Mason University noted, “The conference was very practical but also reminded me of why I am pro-life. I am looking forward to spreading the pro-life message on my campus.”

Students for Life of America hosts numerous training conferences in different regions and states across the U.S. to train pro-life leaders. Make sure to check back to see when the next training conference is near you!
