Students for Life Participates in Youth Coalition Press Conference

Arlington, VA – On July 1, 2010, Students for Life of America participated in a “Keep Out Kagan” press conference, sponsored by Young Americans for Freedom (YAF), on the front steps of the United States Supreme Court. The press conference featured multiple student and young professional-centered groups from various causes. All groups, ranging from Conservative to Liberal to Libertarian were all able to come together on the same message: That the youth of America do not approve of Elena Kagan for a life term appointment on the Supreme Court. About 75 youth and young adults were in attendance.

Lucy McVicker, Communications Director, represented Students for Life of America during the press conference and stated, “Elena Kagan illustrates the extent to which our society’s disregard for human life reaches and the perverse utilitarian mindset pervading the pro-abortion agenda… She is not qualified to serve on the United States’ highest court.”

Students for Life of America is a non-profit organization dedicated to equipping the pro-life generation with the resources they need to end abortion in America. Since launching its historic Field Program in 2006, SFLA has helped start over 330 new student pro-life organizations and trained thousands of pro-life students.
